Mentorship
Through paid placements and shadowing opportunities, the program pairs emerging filmmakers with established professionals on active productions. Participants gain hands-on experience, exposure to professional workflows, and direct mentorship in real-world settings.
We placed an emerging filmmaker, Ari Lisner, on the feature Here for the Weekend, with Simbelle fully funding wages as part of a career development opportunity. This paid placement allowed Ari to shadow departments, learn directly from the team, and contribute on set—fostering community and ensuring the next generation of storytellers sees themselves represented both on screen and behind the camera.
